petri series
The Petri series were started during Covid lockdown and owe in part some reference to preoccupations with bacteria and growth cultures. However the series used that simply as a starting point and subsequently were more concerned with the evolution of rhythmic dots and marks. The circle is used as a dominant theme throughout the work. Circles suggest completeness, wholeness and are a strong geometric shape which evoke a connection to earlier cultures.
