The artist uses the ‘House’ form as a metaphor for a person. ‘Houses’ represent a safe place, a haven, an embodiment of oneself. Society places value in our house, our home, and yet we see increasing homelessness and the lack of affordable housing. Aside from the exploration of material and process, the artworks are often embellished with found objects and other materials reminiscent of small roadside shrines.
