petri series
The Petri series emerged during the COVID-19 lockdown and draw inspiration from preoccupations with growth cultures. However, the series used this as a starting point and subsequently focussed on the evolution of rhythmic dots and marks. The circle is a dominant theme throughout the work. Circles suggest completeness and wholeness and are a strong geometric shape that evoke a connection to earlier cultures.
